The Opportunity We are seeking responsible, energetic individuals to lead small-group supervision for guests under 16 at a major Vaughan-based entertainment destination. This role is ideal for educators, coaches, or experienced youth workers looking for supplemental weekend income in a high-energy environment. You will act as the primary point of contact for families, ensuring a safe and organized experience for young visitors during peak evening hours.
Core Responsibilities
- Safety Oversight: Maintain constant visual and physical presence with a designated group of minors throughout their visit.
- Arrival & Departure Logistics: Manage the check-in process for arriving groups, including credential verification and parent communication.
- On-Site Coordination: Navigate high-traffic areas, manage group dynamics during meal breaks and attraction queues, and uphold facility conduct standards.
- Real-Time Reporting: Keep families updated via mobile check-ins and provide a detailed summary at the conclusion of the session.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and resolve minor interpersonal conflicts or safety concerns within the group.
Candidate Requirements
- Maturity & Age: Candidates must be 21+ years of age to meet specific facility access requirements.
- Proven Track Record: At least 40 hours of documented experience in youth leadership (e.g., coaching, camp instruction, tutoring, or professional childcare).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal skills and the ability to remain calm in crowded, fast-paced settings.
- Reliability: Consistent weekend availability through the 2026 season, including October peak dates.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Screening is a condition of employment.
- Physical Activity: Comfort with walking and standing for the duration of a 6-8 hour shift outdoors.
