Automotive Shop Manager / Service Coordinator (PPF, Tint & Detailing)
About Us
First Detailing Studio is one of Edmonton's leading automotive appearance and protection facilities specializing in Paint Protection Film (PPF), Window Tint, Ceramic Coatings, Vinyl Wraps, Paint Correction, Paintless Dent Repair (PDR), and Professional Vehicle Detailing.
We are looking for a highly organized, reliable, and proactive Shop Manager / Service Coordinator to oversee daily operations, coordinate workflow, manage customer communication, and ensure every vehicle is completed on time and to the highest standard.
This position is critical to the success of our business and requires someone who takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and can effectively manage daily shop operations without constant supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily shop operations and workflow.
- Schedule vehicles and assign work to technicians.
- Coordinate PPF, tint, wrap, detailing, ceramic coating, and PDR projects.
- Communicate with customers regarding vehicle status, timelines, and project updates.
- Coordinate with dealership partners and commercial accounts.
- Ensure all vehicles are completed on schedule and meet company quality standards.
- Track incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Maintain accurate production schedules and job tracking.
- Follow up on warranty work, corrections, and customer concerns.
- Monitor technician productivity, attendance, and job completion.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and organized workplace.
- Ensure customer expectations and promised delivery dates are met.
- Prepare daily end-of-day reports for ownership outlining completed work, vehicles in progress, upcoming deliveries, and any issues requiring attention.
Requirements
- Previous experience in automotive service advising, shop management, detailing, collision repair, dealership operations, or related automotive industry experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Knowledge and understanding of PPF, tint, vinyl wrap, detailing, or automotive aftermarket services is considered a major asset.
- Experience using scheduling, invoicing, and customer management software is an asset.

Reliability and attendance are critical for this position. The successful candidate must be punctual, organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing shop operations without constant supervision.
This role is not suitable for someone who requires continuous direction or struggles with organization, communication, or time management.

Schedule
Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Approximately 46 hours per week.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
