Coordinator, External Relations & Communications

The Coordinator, ER&C plays a key role in supporting the planning development, quality assurance, implementation, and tracking of communications initiatives that strengthen engagement with the MCC’s internal and external audiences.
The incumbent works in a fast-paced bilingual environment to provide highly organized, proactive and technologically proficient results.
What you’ll do
-
Coordinate internal and external communications initiatives from planning, through implementation, including corporate projects, events and organizational initiatives.

Draft and coordinate communications materials, including news articles, email campaigns, web content, presentations, FAQs, interested party correspondence and other corporate communications.

Liaise with internal clients to gather information, establish timelines and coordinate reviews and approvals.

Coordinate updates to the MCC corporate website and candidate-facing web content using the content management system.

Build, schedule, test and distribute email campaigns using digital communications platforms.

Review, edit and proofread communications materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, consistency, formatting and accessibility.

Support communications for webinars, Annual Meeting and other corporate initiatives.

Coordinate communications related to registration, invitations, agendas, presentations and post-event follow-up.
What you need to succeed
Experience:
-
3 years’ experience working in a communications, marketing or public relations environment.
Technical Skills:
-
Fluently bilingual with excellent oral and written skills in both English and French, including the ability to translate simple content and conduct comparative reviews.

Excellent knowledge of professional writing, editing, and proofreading standards and practices.
-
Knowledge of content management systems, CRM and digital communications platforms (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot and Hootsuite).

Strong understanding of web analytics and the ability to interpret and report on communications performance; familiarity with Google Analytics is an asset.

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat), Canva, Camtasia, BrightAuthor and SharePoint are assets.

Language:
Superior oral and written skills in English and French.
Education:

Degree in public relations, media relations, marketing, communications or translation.
