Hi! We’re Coast Builders, a full-service home and garden building centre made up of people who love to live on the Sunshine Coast. Our work spans: contractor services; merchandising program with an array of in-store and online products that are responsive to the season of the year; and kitchens & appliances with great brands from across the globe. Coast Builders operates under the RONA Banner with stores located in Sechelt & Madeira Park. We pride ourselves in providing a comprehensive Coast Builders experience to the residents who live, work and play on the Sunshine Coast.
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a full-time Office Assistant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role supports administrative operations, accounting functions, human resources, customer service, and internal team coordination across our group of companies.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple departments and priorities.
- Perform administrative and financial services including data entry, accounts payable & receivable, cash management, banking, and record keeping.
- Maintain company records including Google Docs organization, office supplies, training certifications, and etc.
- Provide administrative support to internal teams, vendors, contractors, customers, RONA, and banking partners.
- Assist with customer service inquiries and help maintain strong customer relationships.
- Support day-to-day office operations and organizational priorities.
- Assist with front-end and sales floor coverage as needed, including basic customer transactions and providing WOW customer service.
- Support a safe work environment and participate in safety initiatives and meetings.
- Participate in building and supporting the Coast Builders brand and community involvement.
- Maintain professionalism while balancing deadlines and shifting priorities.

Qualified Applicants Will Have
- High school diploma; post-secondary education is an asset.
- Previous office administration, bookkeeping, customer service, or retail experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and POS systems.
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable and data entry is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to assist with front-end and sales floor coverage, including basic transactions.
- Valid driver’s license considered an asset for banking and mail pickups/drop-offs.
Schedule: 8 hour Day Shift (9-5pm), Monday- Friday
