Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Turf Maintenance Technician to join our landscape team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing the health and appearance of turf areas across various properties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance, with a focus on creating beautiful, healthy outdoor spaces. Responsibilities
- Mow, trim, and edge lawns using hand tools, power tools, and lawn equipment to ensure a neat and uniform appearance.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including pruning, planting, fertilizing, and weed control.
- Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Use hand tools and power tools for soil preparation, planting, and other landscaping activities.
- Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and performing basic repairs to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist with seasonal clean-up projects such as leaf removal, debris clearing, and soil aeration.
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and uphold high standards of landscape quality.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes.
- Experience with horticulture practices including planting, fertilizing, and pest management.
- Ability to operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques to promote healthy turf growth.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems for installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Strong gardening skills with an eye for detail in plant health and landscape aesthetics.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Good physical stamina for lifting heavy equipment or materials and performing manual labor over extended periods.
