Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead daily operations, staff coordination, HR functions, workflow management, and service delivery. Reporting to the Executive Director, the General Manager will ensure consistent processes, strong team performance, and smooth operations across both organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day operations.
- Supervise staff, manage workflow, and support clear priorities and accountability.
- Handle routine HR matters: attendance, scheduling, onboarding, training needs, performance follow up, and workplace expectations.
- Maintain consistent procedures, service standards, and internal communication.
- Identify service gaps, recurring issues, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide regular operational updates to the Executive Director.
- Support administrative, financial, and reporting tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising staff in office, service, travel, non profit, agricultural, government, or regulated environments.
- Working knowledge of HR practices (onboarding, attendance, performance management, training, documentation).
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high volume environment.
- Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
- Customer service mindset and comfort with digital tools, databases, and shared platforms.
- Ability to work onsite in Mississauga as required.
Ideal Candidate Organized, professional, calm under pressure, and able to hold staff accountable while maintaining service quality and operational consistency.
TICO Certification is required. Candidates without certification must be willing to obtain it within an agreed timeframe. TICO Supervisor/Manager certification is an asset.
