A-Kan Insurance Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Leader to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate will not only focus on mentoring and growing our sales team but will also be actively involved in personally generating new business and building their own book.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and support the sales team to meet and exceed targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies and campaigns to drive team results.
- Conduct regular coaching and performance reviews.
Personal Sales & Business Development:
- Actively prospect, network, and secure new clients for your own portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure retention and referrals.
- Leverage your market knowledge to identify growth opportunities across Commercial and Personal Lines.
Overall Sales Growth:
- Drive company-wide sales performance through both direct and team contributions.
- Collaborate with management to align sales goals with company objectives.
- Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and client-first approach in all sales activities.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of proven insurance sales experience (Commercial and/or Personal Lines preferred).
- Strong track record in business development and client relationship management.
- Previous leadership or mentorship experience is preferred.
- Valid Level 1 (or higher) General Insurance License in Alberta (or willing to obtain).
- Motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growing sales.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to achieve goals.
