We are seeking a skilled Licensed Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive dealership experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various hand and power tools. Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using schematics and specialized tools
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Utilize welding and assembly skills for custom repairs or modifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and schematics to ensure accurate repairs
- Assist with vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move parts or equipment
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings clearly to customers
- Contribute to the overall maintenance of the shop environment by keeping work areas clean and organized
Qualifications
- Valid mechanic license with dealership experience preferred
- Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Experience with vehicle assembly and troubleshooting complex mechanical problems
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance best practices and safety procedures
- Prior experience working with diagnostic software is a plus
