Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This vital role supports licensed physiotherapists in delivering high-quality patient care within a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in patient care, medical terminology, and experience in acute care environments. Duties
- Assist physiotherapist,chirorapractor with patient assessments and treatment plans
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use
- Support patients during therapy sessions, including positioning and mobility assistance
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient responses, and progress notes
- Educate patients on exercises and therapies prescribed by the physiotherapist
- Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures
Requirements
- Previous clinical experience or background in acute care settings is preferred
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient safety and comfort
- Foreign-trained physiotherapist is ideal for this job
- Certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing clinical environments and prioritize tasks effectively
Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour
