Overview
We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators with a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience to join our team in Milton, ON. This role is vital to ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and material handling. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Duties
- Operate various types of forklifts including clamp trucks and order pickers to move materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders
- Conduct heavy lifting of goods and materials safely and efficiently
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and cycle counts
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing basic maintenance
- Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage or safety hazards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and operational efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and procedures during all warehouse activities
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating clamp trucks and other specialized equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order processing and inventory control
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during shifts
- Experience with order picking processes within a warehouse setting
- Good communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment
- Knowledge of safety standards related to material handling equipment operation
