Position Summary
The IT Site Lead is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT services across the Malahat and Victoria sites. This role ensures a high-quality user experience, reliable site operations, and proactive identification and resolution of issues. The position acts as the primary local IT point of contact, working closely with regional and global IT teams to deliver consistent, business-aligned services.
The role requires strong technical breadth, operational discipline, and the ability to operate confidently in a manufacturing and secure environment while delivering an excellent end-user experience.
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility
· Own and manage all site IT operations, including end-user support, workplace technology, and local infrastructure coordination
· Deliver strong user experience through responsive, professional, and proactive support
· Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive preventive improvements
· Collaborate across IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure smooth service delivery
· Ensure adherence to IT processes (incident, request, change, problem, asset management)
· Use ServiceNow ITSM or equivalent tools to manage and track work
· Maintain accurate CMDB and asset management data across the device lifecycle
· Use service metrics and operational data to prioritize work and drive continuous improvement
· Support site initiatives, onboarding, executive/VIP support, and key business events
Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language
· Experience in IT site support, workplace services, or service delivery
· Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
· Hands-on experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), CMDB, and asset management
· Broad technical knowledge of end-user computing and site IT operations
· Proven ability to proactively identify and resolve issues
· Comfortable working with data, metrics, and structured processes
· Working knowledge of Networking and Connectivity to support the site autonomously
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, lab, or operational sites with diverse user populations and technical environments.
· Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices.
· Familiarity with Agile ways of working, and Lean techniques of problem solving
· Experience in conference room technology, collaboration tools, endpoint lifecycle management, and workplace service delivery.
· Experience contributing to site projects, office moves, technology refreshes, or transformation initiatives.
· Knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and operational risk considerations within site IT environments.
Physical Demands
· Ability to move throughout office, lab, and site environments, including frequent walking between buildings or work areas
· Capability to lift and transport IT equipment (e.g., laptops, monitors, desktops, network devices) up to ~25–40 lbs
· Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, or reaching to install, troubleshoot, or maintain equipment under desks, in server rooms, or in conference rooms
· Ability to set up and support conference room or desk technologies, including mounting or adjusting peripherals (e.g., cameras, displays, cables)
· Comfortable working for extended periods at a computer workstation
· Ability to respond to on-site incidents quickly, including moving between locations as needed
· Occasional work in data closets or server rooms, which may involve confined spaces and varying temperatures
· Visual acuity to read technical information, device screens, labels, and documentation
Role Overview:
· The IT Site Lead is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT services across the Malahat and Victoria sites. The candidate must have sufficient experience to work independently.
· Daily Responsibilities: End-to-end IT support (hardware/software), Troubleshooting PC issues, Imaging machines and installing software, Network troubleshooting, Handling ticket requests, Asset management
Required Experience:
· Minimum 5 years hands-on IT experience (7+ years preferred)
· Experience with Windows and Microsoft environments (not Linux or Mac)
· Experience imaging computers
· Working experience with ticketing tools (preferably ServiceNow) and Active Directory
· Actual troubleshooting experience (hardware/software)
Pay: $65.00-$75.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Malahat, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- IT support: 5 years (preferred)
