Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental software, and a strong understanding of dental and medical terminology. Prior experience in dental or medical office settings is highly preferred to ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient service.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage front desk operations
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally
- Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and update electronic medical records accurately
- Assist patients with paperwork and billing inquiries
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Manage correspondence and handle administrative tasks related to patient care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a medical office setting is highly desirable
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix, Epic, or similar electronic medical records systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally
- Office experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Familiarity with front desk procedures, appointment scheduling, and administrative duties
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to provide exceptional patient service
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
