Baja Terra Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled and dependable Formwork Carpenter to join our growing team. We specialize in commercial, municipal, and residential concrete construction projects throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will have experience building and installing concrete formwork while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Build, install, and remove concrete formwork.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other forming materials.
- Assist with layout and grade preparation.
- Assist with rebar installation and concrete placement.
- Construct forms for sidewalks, curb and gutter, driveways, slabs, stairs, retaining walls, and other concrete structures.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Work effectively with supervisors, foremen, and crew members.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of formwork carpentry experience required.
- Experience with commercial, municipal, or residential concrete projects.
- Ability to read construction drawings, establish grades, and perform layout work.
- Strong knowledge of concrete formwork systems.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work.
- Valid driver's licence required.
- CSTS 2020 certification is considered an asset.
What We Offer
- Starting wage: $28.00 per hour
- Higher wages may be offered based on experience, qualifications, leadership ability, and overall skill level.
