Lead Plastic Sheet Extruder & Thermoforming Machine Operator to join our team at AMX Bio Production in Candiac. If you have at least 3 years of hands-on experience and know how to run an integrated line featuring a heavy-duty plastic sheet extruder and a pressure/compression plastic thermoforming machine, we want to hear from you. This is a stable, long-term role in the plastics processing industry for someone who can step onto the shop floor, take complete ownership of the machinery, manage production cycles, and troubleshoot technical or process problems independently.Key Responsibilities & Tasks

- Mold & Tooling Changes: Prepare and handle complete thermoforming mold changeovers, extruder die adjustments, plug-assist tool setups, and mechanical adjustments completely on your own.
- Dialing in Settings: Adjust extruder heating zones, screw speed, calender rolls, sheet tension, thermoforming cycle times, and clamping/compression pressure to achieve the perfect finished sheet and product.
- Material Setup & Logistics: Manage raw materials (pellets/resin) for the sheet extruder, monitor the continuous sheet flow, and coordinate with warehouse staff for material handling using forklifts or other warehouse equipment.
- Quality Control & Inspection: Monitor and inspect the quality of the produced material. Perform regular quality inspections using calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools to ensure products meet strict specifications. Keep an eye out for defects (thinning, warping, webbing) and make quick adjustments to minimize scrap.
- Process Improvement: Troubleshoot equipment, implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste, and propose improvements to work methods, systems, or procedures to boost productivity.
