Job Description:
Opadez Home Health Services Inc. is currently expanding our team and hiring compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Casual Support Workers to provide care and support to clients in Grande Prairie and surrounding communities.
This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible hours, supplemental income, or opportunities to pick up shifts based on availability.
Our clients include seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring support with daily living activities in home and community settings.
Responsibilities:
- Personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders
- Mobility and transfer assistance
- Companionship and emotional support
- Respite care for families
- Community outings and appointments
- Documentation and reporting of client care
Qualifications:
Preferred:
- Health Care Aide certificate, Community Support Worker, Disability Support Worker, Nursing Student, or related healthcare experience
Requirements:
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills
- Compassionate and dependable attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Assets:
- Home care experience
- Dementia support experience
- Behavioural support experience
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation
