Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team here at Moxies Red Deer. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Monitor food quality during service, making adjustments as needed for presentation and taste
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours
- Follow all food safety regulations and restaurant policies to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting, demonstrating efficiency under pressure
- Strong understanding of meal preparation, serving procedures, and customer service principles within the food industry
