We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer experiences, managing transactions accurately, and promoting our products and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or merchandising are considered advantageous.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling and credit transactions
- Provide product demonstrations and explain features to customers
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Manage merchandise displays and ensure the sales floor is organized and inviting
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain accurate cash register operations, including balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as needed
- Support team members in achieving sales goals through effective communication and teamwork
Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including phone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales processes
- Ability to perform product demos and technical sales when required
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to enhance product presentation
- Time management skills to efficiently handle busy periods
- Ability to upsell products tactfully to increase sales opportunities
