About the role
We're looking for a reliable, hard-working bakery porter to keep our bakery and cafe running smoothly. You'll work behind the scenes supporting our bakers and baristas — handling deliveries, cleaning equipment, washing dishes, moving stock, and ensuring the workspace is safe and organised throughout the shift.
Hours & Schedule
- 40 hours / week, 9:30am - 6:00pm, Thursday - Monday
- Experience as a dishwasher or porter required
Key responsibilities
- Receive, check, and store ingredient deliveries correctly
- Move and rotate stock following FIFO procedures
- Wash and sanitise dishes, bowls, trays, and baking utensils throughout the shift
- Clean and sanitise baking equipment and work surfaces
- Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Transport finished products to display areas or loading bays
- Dispose of waste and recycling in line with procedures
- Support bakers by preparing workstations before production starts
- Maintain and clean baking and filtration equipment
- Report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor

- Punctual, reliable, and able to work daytime shifts
- Physically fit — comfortable lifting and standing for extended periods
- Good attention to hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
