Director of Broker Partnerships
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Broker Partnerships will be responsible for growing new business opportunities in the legal expense insurance market in Canada while managing existing relationships with clients, brokers, and partners.
What will you do?
- Manage the full project lifecycle for company initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Support the sales team in prospecting, identifying and building profitable legal insurance business within the broker distribution channel, and ensuring exceptional ongoing care for the existing portfolio.
- Supporting the broker partnerships team with the development of both existing and new client relationships, through targeted prospecting and sales programs.
- Working with the broker partnerships team to drive revenue by delivering compelling presentations and delivery of information to new and existing brokers, associations, and other opportunities.
- Cultivate strong relationships in the Insurance industry and with existing business partners
- Coordination and collaboration with underwriting regarding planning, profitability, and partner solutions
- Develop and execute business, budget, and sales strategies
- Monitor the market and competitor activity
- Provide detailed sales forecasting plans
- Collaborate with marketing team to organize impactful events and campaigns
- Attend significant Broker/MGA and industry events to build relationships and represent brand
- Generate sales metrics, reports and communicate information to the sales team to track results and activity
- Manage and coach sales team in developing and maintaining Broker/MGA relationships
- As nominee and/or designated representative, ensure licensing compliance with each provincial regulatory council and renewal of corporate and individual licences.
- Work closely with Human Resources with the recruitment and hiring of sales staff.
About You:
- 8+ years of sales experience, preferably in broker, MGA, or Insurer environments, with demonstrated experience leading a team
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and customer services skills
- Great strategic planning, organizational, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong sales and sales management skills and ability to develop strong relationships
- Motivational and influential
- Analytical skills to evaluate data and information for decision making
- Understanding of market trends
- In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques
- Proficient with Dynamics and Office 365
