Accounting & Office Administrator

Forest Agri Services Ltd. is an independent agricultural retailer serving producers and rural customers from our Forest and Watford locations. We supply crop inputs, seed, fertilizer, livestock feed, animal health products, pet food, and lawn and garden products throughout our region.
We are looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Accounting & Office Administrator to join our team in Forest. You will play an important role in supporting our customers, our staff, and the day-to-day operation of a growing local business.
This is a full-time, in-office position offering a competitive compensation package, including a shared-cost health and dental benefits plan following the successful completion of the probationary period.
Responsibilities
· Process vendor invoices accurately and obtain approvals in accordance with company policies.
· Prepare cheque runs and electronic payments.
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
· Maintain Accounts Payable records and supporting documentation.
· Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations.
· Complete General Ledger reconciliations.
· Prepare HST, WSIB, source deduction, and other government reporting information.
· Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures.
· Maintain accurate and confidential financial records.
· Respond professionally to vendor and customer inquiries.
· Assist with purchasing as required.
· Answer telephones, provide customer service, and assist with general office administration.
Qualifications
· Minimum two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
· Experience with Accounts Payable and account reconciliations.
· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
· Experience with accounting software is an asset. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Enterprise is considered an advantage.
· Strong Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Purchasing experience is an asset.
· Agricultural knowledge or experience is an asset but not required.
· Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and providing excellent customer service.

· Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
· Rotating Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
