Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Operator/Lead Hand/Labourer to join our construction and heavy equipment team. This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery, interior hand demo, overseeing job site activities, and supporting construction projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, and backhoes. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, excavators, skid steers, in accordance with safety standards and project specifications
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction sites, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and functioning
- Support the lead hand in coordinating daily operations, supervising labourers, and ensuring work progresses efficiently
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to identify mechanical issues and coordinate repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices
- Assist with material handling and site logistics to ensure timely progress of projects
- Support team members with manual labour tasks as required on-siteExperience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience in construction environments with knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience as a lead hand is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery or similar brands is advantageous

Pay: $27.00-$40.00 per hour
