Reporting to the President, you will
- Inspect all machined and fabricated jobs to ensure compliance with drawing, process and customer specifications
- Monitor in-process jobs throughout the shop to prevent non-conformance issues
- Inspect items received from a sub-contracted process prior to the release to customer or to the next process in order to ensure compliance with drawing, process and customer specifications
- Prepare and maintain quality documents such as but not limited to certificates of compliance or dimensional reports as per customer requirements
- Maintain a calibration system for all company owned and employee owned measuring instruments
- Assist and troubleshoot employee production issues relating to drawing and process interpretation and proper measurement techniques
- Promote high expectations, efficiency and safety in the work environment
- Operating measuring equipment according to established procedures
- Identify irregularities in parts and non-conformance to quality standards
- Prepare and manage non-conformance reports as per written quality policies and procedures
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of non-conformance issues
- Liaise with customers and vendors regarding quality issues

Requirements:
- Minimum ten years work experience in a machine and fabrication shop environment or engineering department of a manufacturer with heavy machining capabilities
- Interpret blue print drawings and accurately read various measuring tools
- Understanding of machinery and equipment and material tolerances
- Solid understanding of quality control and working to quality standards
- Must have good time management, problem-solving skills, initiative and a commitment to tasks

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
