Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Carpenter Helper to support our construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters in various tasks related to building, repairing, and restoring structures. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, contributing to projects that range from residential to commercial construction. The Carpenter Helper will play a vital part in ensuring project efficiency and quality while developing essential skills in the construction industry.
Duties
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support accurate project execution.
- Support concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed on site.
- Aid in cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, roofing, and siding tasks.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and other machinery safely and effectively under supervision.
- Perform general carpentry tasks including woodworking, framing, caulking, and assembly of various components.
- Support plumbing and electrical work where applicable, adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with construction painting, restoration projects, and siding work to ensure quality finishes.
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement safely around the job site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with concrete forming, masonry, cabinetry installation, flooring, tile laying, roofing, siding, or related trades is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools required; familiarity with CNC machinery is advantageous.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, caulking techniques, plumbing, electrical systems, or handyman skills is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work safely in a construction environment.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills on the job.
- Prior experience in construction or woodworking is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
