**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Associate to join our team. Our mission is to combine the perfect fit with a fun shopping experience. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Sales Associate who can deliver stellar in-store service while actively helping us expand our reach and generate new customer leads in the local and notional wide communities. **Responsibilities:**
Lead Generation & Expansion: Proactively identify and connect with local schools and activity centers, youth sports leagues, and other related associations or partners to establish referral partnerships and group programs.
Community Outreach: Represent the store at local community events, school fairs, and family expos to build brand awareness and capture new customer leads (email sign-ups, event registrations).
Clienteling: Build and maintain a loyal book of business by following up with past customers regarding seasonal needs, upcoming growth cycles, and exclusive store promotions.
Exceptional Customer Service: Welcome families warmly, actively listen to parents’ needs, and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to understand their needs and preferences and to make them feel comfortable and excited. Utilize sales knowledge to assist customers in selecting the right products.
Drive Sales: Meet and exceed daily sales goals by sharing product knowledge, recommending matching accessories, and highlighting product features. Provide product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits via online and offline sales and marketing channels. Organize and promote sales events and marketing campaigns to drive the sales and clients growth to meet the targets.
Drive Sales & Operations: Meet and exceed individual and store sales targets to drive revenue growth, handle point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, and maintain a clean, organized sales floor. Assist in inventory management and restocking products.
Other relevant supporting tasks assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Sales & Lead Development Skills: Proven experience or a strong capability in lead generation, local outreach, field marketing, or cold-pitching partnerships.
- Customer Acquisition & Persuasion Quality: Outstanding patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with customers of all ages. A natural closer who knows how to build immediate rapport with parents, overcome objections, and turn a casual browser into a loyal customer.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to confidently pitch to community groups and partners and parents alike. Outstanding customer service to ensure customer satisfaction. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Self-Starter Attitude: Highly motivated, self-directed, and eager to find creative ways to expand our customer base without constant supervision.
- Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work weekend retail hours and occasional local community events.
- Local Marketing Experience and Interests: Collaborate with management to create localized promotions and track the success of lead-generation campaigns.
- Strong Organizational Abilities: Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, from balancing in-store customers with community outreach follow-ups to managing customer databases.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English; multilingual capabilities are a plus to help us connect with a wider range of families in our diverse community.
Prior experience in sales or retail sales is preferred.
