We are currently recruiting a Personal Support Worker to assist a male employer, who is an incomplete Quadriplegic, in all activities of daily living.
He has a great sense of humor and likes to laugh. This employer likes to spend time listening to music and watching movies.
Location:
- Maple Ridge (near Memorial Peace Park)
Compensation:
Shifts:
- Saturday: 9am to 12pm and 6pm to 9pm
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to)
- All Personal Care including showering, dressing, washroom care (including peri care and bowel routine [suppository])
- Condom Catheter Care
- Medication administration
- Range of Motion exercises
- Meal preparation (no eating assistance required)
- Willing to support client to go to leisure center close to home to use gym and go swimming at the Maple Ridge Leisure
- Light housekeeping including but not limited to general cleaning, vacuuming, taking garbage out, laundry
Qualification:
- 1 to 2 years Caregiving experience required
- Sense of humor
- Comfortable working with a smoker
- Attentive and quick learner
