Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of food quality
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Passion for the food industry and a desire to grow culinary skills over time and able to contribute creative menu ideas
