Temporary (Fixed Term)
THE POSITION:
Keyera is looking for an Analyst to join the ETRM Controls team within the larger Finance organization. Following a recent large business acquisition, Keyera is navigating a period of stabilization and integration of these new assets. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic group focused on supporting that transition while preparing for a major systems evaluation project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate and maintain all commercial contracts within the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system (Right Angle, Entero One), ensuring accurate setup and oversight for a wide range of commodity and trade types, including NGLs (Propane, Butane, Condensate), NGL Mix, Gas, and financial products.
- Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including data entry, document generation, quality control checks, execution (printing, signing, and distribution), and system updates to reflect real-time status changes, key milestones, and follow-up actions — ensuring full auditability and compliance throughout.
- Understand how to capture complex trader requests within the limitations of the system and changing business environments.
- Liaise between multiple departments such as Trading, Invoicing, Position Management, Pricing, Credit, Scheduling, IS, and Risk.
- Identify and resolve contract discrepancies and prepare weekly summary reports for management that detail all material discrepancies and deliver monthly or ad-hoc KPI metrics related to contract performance.
- Gather and distribute information for internal and external audit requests, including documentation for Audit controls.
- Review, circulate, and confirm non-commodity commercial agreements, ensuring full compliance with internal risk controls and delegation of authority.
- Find gaps in compliance, implement process improvements, and create new training documents as required.
- Provide training and support to ETRM personnel to ensure consistency, accuracy, and development.
- Daily reviews of Gas audit reports; identify and resolve contract discrepancies.
- Oversee contract controls of makeup gas and extraction right deals, ensuring adherence to risk policies including broker (ICE/NGX) verification, issue logging, audit integrity, and Delegation of Authority (DOA) compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2-4 years relevant work experience.
- Prior Experience in a Confirmation & Compliance group, and knowledge with Right Angle/ Entero or other similar ETRM systems, is preferred.
- Highly motivated with strong financial, analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Goal oriented and able to contribute as a team player.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
