Overview
We are seeking a detail oriented Level 2 or 3 Collision Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, with several years hands-on experience in automotive repair. As a Repair Technician, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles back to undamaged condition in preparation for the paint process. This role requires proficiency with both hand and power tools, as well as the ability to lift heavy components as needed. Clean, modern facility with heated floors and 3 large bay doors. 3-phase spot welder and access to OEM repair procedures.
Duties
- Perform automotive repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Document all repairs performed and parts used for inventory tracking.
- Assist in heavy lifting of automotive components when necessary.
- Light detailing.
- Parts runs, delivering vehicles, occasionally shuttling customers.
Experience
- Proven experience as a repair technician with an auto body shop.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various types of machinery and vehicles.
- Familiarity with both hand tools and power tools commonly used in automotive repair.
- MIG welding proficiency.
- A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.
- Experience with Alldata and Mitchell cloud estimating an asset, but not required.
- Driver's license with the ability to drive standard vehicles.
