ColdStar Solutions is looking for a 5 Ton Driver to join our team!
The Role
· 5 Ton Drivers make pick up and deliveries of skidded grocery product to our suppliers and customers from Mill Bay to Port Alberni and Campbell River
· This is a full-time role working Tuesday – Saturday, starting at 7am.
The Responsibilities
· General P&D activities such as: safe driving, hand bombing, related paperwork, customer service
· Communicate effectively and respectfully with dispatchers and customers
· Report all incidents and safety hazards in a timely manner to the supervisor or dispatchers
Who You Are
· A confident and safe 5 Ton Driver with at least 1 year of professional driving experience and no major driving infractions
· A reliable, flexible, and respectful team-player that takes pride in their work
What You Bring
· Minimum 1 year of experience driving a 5 Ton truck
· Air brake certification and a clean drivers abstract
· Ability to drive manual transmission
· Knowledge of Central Vancouver Island area
· Physically able to lift 50lbs
· Flexibility for scheduling
· Experience using a pallet jack
· Knowledge of reefer settings and food temperature hauling requirements would be great
