Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tandem Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating heavy-duty tandem trucks to safely and efficiently transport and haul away to various construction sites in the city of Saskatoon. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and reliability. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tandem trucks within city limits, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload dirt, concrete, aggregate, etc.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
- Maintain accurate documentation of vehicle logs in compliance with company policies
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Communicate effectively with construction team and superintendent
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage during transportation and loading/unloading processes
Requirements
- Valid 3A or 1A Drivers License with a clean driving record
- Experience operating tandem trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles
- Knowledge of handling procedures and safety standards for heavy equipment operation
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor mechanical issues
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety compliance
- Prior experience with backing up to Paver in construction setting is desirable
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
