Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights. This role requires strong expertise in accounting software, account reconciliation, and financial analysis to support the company's growth and stability. The Senior Financial Controller will lead a team of accounting professionals and collaborate with executive management to develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement effective financial controls.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage account reconciliation processes to verify the accuracy of financial data across various accounts.
- Conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Lead budgeting processes by preparing forecasts, analyzing variances, and advising on financial planning strategies.
- Maintain and optimize the use of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to financial reporting.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff; coordinate training on new systems or procedures as needed.
- Prepare reports for senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Financial Controller or similar senior finance role with extensive knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and budgeting processes.
- Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation and detailed account analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Experience leading a team of finance professionals in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards governing financial reporting is essential.
Pay: $107,703.91-$198,153.81 per year
