Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaner to join our dynamic cleaning team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of one space, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. This position is Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9am-12pm and 3pm-6pm, as well as Saturdays and Sundays 9am-12pm and 4pm-7pm. So there is a space in between when you're cleaning, for each shift. This will be cleaning a commercial space in NOTL until at least the end of October. If the contract doesn't renew, we will discuss finding another location or locations to clean. The pay is $20 per hour, with the 6 hours per day, for the 4 days per week as noted. Days and times are non negotiable. It will be for a space that is open, so you will need to be comfortable cleaning during the times that people will be walking around you.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of several washrooms, and floors throughout the areas we require, using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all cleaning activities
Experience
- Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict cleanliness standards
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards maintaining hygiene standards
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift moderate loads as needed
