Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects and general labor tasks on various job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn and grow within the construction industry. Prior experience in roofing, carpentry, or handyman work is a plus but not required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in construction while contributing to high-quality roofing projects.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and other roofing supplies
- Use caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing, sheathing, and structural adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and debris removal
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries on site
- Assist with general construction tasks including measuring, cutting, and material handling
- Perform handyman duties such as minor repairs or adjustments around the job site as required
Experience
- Prior experience with hand tools, construction sites, or carpentry is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with caulking, waterproofing, or roofing techniques is a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights for extended periods
- Handyman experience or general construction background will be considered an asset
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks on different projects

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
