Guardian Trucking Solutions is looking for a Safety & Compliance Assistant to help manage trucking company compliance, driver files, permits, renewals, and safety documentation.
The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, professional, and willing to learn trucking safety and compliance work.
Responsibilities
- Maintain driver qualification files
- Track expiry dates for licences, medicals, insurance, CVOR, permits, and authorities
- Prepare and organize safety and compliance documents
- Assist with CVOR, DOT, MC, IRP, IFTA, UCR, SCAC, NYHUT, KYU, NM, and other permit-related work
- Communicate with clients, drivers, and government offices
- Follow up on missing documents and renewal deadlines
- Keep client folders and records updated
- Assist with monthly safety/compliance reports
- Handle basic office admin and email communication
Requirements
- Previous trucking, dispatch, safety, or compliance experience is preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Good English communication skills
- Punjabi/Hindi is an asset
- Must be organized and able to follow deadlines
- Able to work with documents, emails, and online portals
- Willing to learn Canadian and USA trucking compliance processes
- Professional attitude with clients and government offices
Preferred Experience
- Trucking safety/compliance: 1 year
- Dispatch or transportation office: 1 year
- Knowledge of CVOR, DOT, MC, IRP, IFTA, or driver files is an asset
