Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with a range of tools and equipment to ensure high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. The Welder will contribute to projects involving ductwork, construction, and manufacturing processes, supporting the overall production goals of the company.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal materials according to specifications and blueprints
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements
- Operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and hand tools to shape and assemble metal components
- Utilize calipers, power tools, and other measuring instruments to ensure precise fabrication
- Conduct rigging operations and assist with crane setup for lifting heavy materials safely
- Execute machining tasks as needed for component fitting and assembly
- Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment and work areas regularly
- Assist in assembly processes for ductwork, structural components, or other fabricated parts
- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or repair tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) within manufacturing or construction environments
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining, assembly, and blueprint reading
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and schematics
- Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation is a plus
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret schematics effectively
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
- Experience working with ductwork, construction projects, or similar manufacturing tasks preferred
- Strong attention to safety procedures; ability to operate forklifts or other heavy machinery is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
