About One Kind Express One Kind Express is a growing final mile delivery and logistics company specializing in furniture, appliance, and freight handling services across Calgary and surrounding areas. We're expanding our warehouse team and looking for dependable, knowledgeable people who take pride in doing the job right.
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time Compensation: $18.00–$21.00/hour (based on experience) Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload furniture, appliances, and freight from delivery and transport trucks
- Receive, inspect, and stage incoming shipments accurately
- Verify shipments against Bills of Lading (BOLs) and report discrepancies
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas
- Prepare outbound loads for daily delivery routes
- Handle heavy items safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Assist drivers with load sequencing for delivery routes
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (mandatory)
- Prior warehouse experience — loading/unloading, receiving, or freight handling
- Working knowledge of Bills of Lading (BOLs) and basic shipping/receiving documentation
- Ability to safely lift and move items up to 75 kg (165 lbs)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Criminal background check required
- Steel-toed footwear required
Preferred / Assets:
- Forklift certification or hands-on forklift experience (strong asset)
- Experience in furniture, appliance, or LTL freight warehousing
- Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems or scanning technology
- Experience reading delivery manifests and route sheets
Schedule:
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Weekday and weekend availability preferred
- Early morning start times based on delivery schedules
