We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our well-established dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and proficiency in various dental management software systems. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate record-keeping, and a welcoming environment for all visitors.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, providing exceptional customer service.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental management software. Training will be provided .
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle appointment inquiries, patient questions, and general office communication.
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately.
- Collect payments and process billing transactions efficiently at the front desk.
- Maintain organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient care and smooth office operations.
- Manage patient flow to reduce wait times and enhance overall patient experience.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar front desk role within a dental or medical office setting.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software. Training will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare documentation.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Familiarity with office procedures, administrative tasks, and record keeping in a healthcare environment.
- Prior dental office experience is preferred but not required; medical office experience is also valuable.
