Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Camp Program Coordinator to lead and oversee our seasonal youth programs. This role involves planning, organizing, and supervising activities designed to engage children in a safe, fun, and educational environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess strong leadership skills, and be passionate about early childhood education and enrichment programs. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging summer camp activities aligned with educational and recreational goals
- Supervise and coordinate daily camp operations, ensuring smooth execution of all activities
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children of diverse backgrounds
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children regarding program details and progress
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and supervision of camp staff and volunteers
- Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure compliance with safety policies
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of different age groups and skill levels
- Support children in their social development through tutoring or teaching as needed during activities
Requirements
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings, including tutoring or teaching roles
- Background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Bilingual (English and Mandarin) is an asse.
- Ability to lead group activities with enthusiasm and patience
- Creative problem-solving skills to adapt activities for various needs
- Must be responsible, reliable, and committed to creating a positive summer experience for all participants
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
