Warehouse Pick and Pack Labourer — Mat Up! Inc.
Location: Mississauga, ON Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM (with a break) Pay: $18/hour Job Type: Full-time, on-site Start date: Immediate
Position Overview The Warehouse Pick and Pack Labourer is an integral part of the Mat Up! team, responsible for efficiently picking, packing, and preparing online customer orders for shipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and committed to accurate and timely order fulfilment. A minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse and online order fulfilment is required.
Responsibilities
1. Order Picking and Packing
- Retrieve items from designated warehouse locations using order sheets
- Accurately pick, verify, and pack online customer orders in accordance with company standards
- Ensure accuracy in item selection, quantity, and quality, including correctly matching SKUs
- Pack orders securely using appropriate packaging, labelling, and documentation
2. Inventory Management
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies
- Notify the owner of low stock levels to ensure timely replenishment
- Keep ready-to-ship stock prepared during downtime to support fast fulfilment
3. Quality Control
- Inspect products for damage, defects, or incorrect labelling before packing or shipping
- Set flagged items aside and follow quality-control guidelines so only high-quality products are dispatched
- Report any product quality issues or discrepancies to the owner
4. Warehouse Maintenance
- Help unload incoming containers and stock racks as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and warehouse
- Help build and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse and online order fulfilment (required)
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 30 lbs continuously, and stand for the full shift
- Basic math skills to count, sort, and verify quantities
- Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good verbal and written communication; able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
