The Opportunity
We're seeking a Construction Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our expanding on-site team. This role is pivotal to the success of our projects, ensuring accurate and competitive cost estimates and supporting seamless project execution.
What You'll Do:
· Evaluate and Analyze – Assess project plans and specifications to develop precise cost estimates.
· Collaborate – Work closely with project managers and engineers to fully understand project requirements.
· Site Visits – Conduct on-site inspections to gather necessary data for estimates.
· Estimate and Plan – Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, factoring in labor, materials, and equipment.
· Negotiate – Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
· Review Bids – Analyze bids and proposals to ensure accuracy and alignment with project budgets.
· Client Engagement – Present cost estimates to clients and actively participate in bid meetings.
· Support Project Management – Assist project managers in overseeing project activities as needed.
What We're Looking For:
· Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
· Proven experience as a Project Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
· In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
· Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
· Exceptional mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
· Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong communication and negotiation skills.
