Your opportunity
As a Facility and Kitchen Assistant, you will play an important role in keeping our kitchen and facility running smoothly and safely. This is a hands-on role that combines cleaning, maintenance, organization, and kitchen support. Responsibilities
Dishwashing & General Cleaning
- Perform daily dishwashing duties
- Perform routine cleaning including mopping, sweeping, drying, wiping, sanitizing, recycling, garbage removal and laundry
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen tools, equipment, and workstations
- Ensure all cleaning duties are completed according to health and safety standards
- Support overall kitchen cleanliness throughout the day
Facility Upkeep & Maintenance
- Assist in ensuring cleanliness and organization of kitchen, storage, office, cafe and other common areas such as washrooms
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments and supplies
- Assist with equipment and vehicle maintenance and upkeep
- Identify, resolve maintenance issues and coordinate with external vendors if needed
Kitchen Assistance
- Prepare simple bases and ingredients for the Pastry team
- Portion, organize, and restock ingredients and supplies as needed
- Support the pastry and operations teams during busy production periods while following food safety and handling procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Comfortable with physical and hands-on work
- Able to lift and move boxes/supplies when needed
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Reliable and punctual
- Valid driving license with clean record (preferred)
- Previous kitchen, cleaning, warehouse, housekeeping, or facility experience (preferred)
Hours & Benefits
- 8 hour shifts, 40-44 hours/week (in-person)
- 4% vacation pay
- Sponsored health, dental, life, and disability coverage after 6 months of tenure
- 2 consecutive days off
- Full availability during weekends and holidays required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
