Welcome to our little corner of paradise! We're a small mom and pop-style cafe situated in Sointula….a quaint little village on Malcolm Island, BC. We're serving breakfast and lunch, as well as tasty baked goods and delicious coffee! We are the heart of the village, a popular hang out spot for locals and tourists alike and we're on the lookout for a couple of awesome folks to join our team for the season starting immediately until end of October; continued employment into the winter is possible for the right fight.
Position Overview
We're in need of a couple of hard workers to help us out around the cafe. From brewing up the best coffee around, through feeding all the hungry people with delicious food, made from scratch; all the way to being a bit of a visitor information guides to tourists. Over all, your job is to make sure our customers leave with a smile on their face and a happy belly. We are looking for someone with a previous cooking experience and/or barista and baking experience.But we can always train the right candidate, who might not have all the experience needed. We are in search for a couple or a 2 close friends, as our only available staff accommodation is a 1 bedroom suite with only 1 queen size bed.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience is a huge asset!
- A love for good food, great coffee, and making people happy.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks without breaking a sweat.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Available immediately , until at least end of October 2026.
