We are looking for an energetic and organized individual to aid Physiotherapists in the day to day running of a busy multidisciplinary clinic.
This is the perfect position for students taking a gap year while applying to professional health care programs. We provide excellent experience in a health care setting where you gain valuable skills working with people of various backgrounds in various levels of abilities, health and mobility.
Duties will include managing the daily inflow of patients, assisting physiotherapists with minor treatment set ups, clinic cleaning, tidying of gym equipment (may require moving dumbbells and other weighted equipment that can be heavy at times) managing clinic supply inventory, washing and folding towels used in treatment and assisting in training junior physiotherapy assistants when required.
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30-4pm
Description: Physical work combined with regular interactions with clients and patients, candidate must be able to tolerate long hours on feet and working quickly between room cleaning and patient set ups. Some minor lifting to move gym equipment and treatment set ups, assisting patients that may be limited in mobility. The ideal candidate should be outgoing and friendly, energetic (as this is a busy clinic), possess good organizational skills, and be willing to be a contributing member of a large team. No previous experience required, but favour will be given to candidates that have experience in medical establishments or the service industry as the day to day pace can be similar to that of serving in a restaurant.
