We are currently looking for reliable and caring Substitute Early Childhood Educators to join our team on an on-call basis. This is an excellent opportunity for educators seeking flexible work while making a positive impact in the lives of young children.
Requirements
- Valid BC ECE, ECE Assistant (ECEA), or ECE Infant Toddler (ECE IT) Licence to Practice.
- Currently residing in British Columbia.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Clear Criminal Record Check.
- Previous experience working in a licensed group childcare centre is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to our Surrey location.
Key Responsibilities
- Step into classrooms as needed to maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
- Follow classroom routines and support daily programming.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Supervise children while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
- Prepare and maintain classroom materials as directed.
- Follow all licensing regulations, centre policies, and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Demonstrate respect for each child's individual needs, culture, and family background.
- Work collaboratively with educators and management to ensure a smooth transition during staff absences.
