Lead Hand – Landscape Construction
We are accepting applications for a potential future Lead Hand position in our Landscape Construction team. As a Lead Hand, you’ll support the Crew Leader in organizing project timelines while guiding and motivating your team on site. You’ll help oversee daily crew activities and ensure work is completed to a high standard, sharing your skills and providing hands-on training along the way. This is a great opportunity to take on a leadership role while contributing directly to quality landscape construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Plan timetable for projects in conjunction with the Crew Leader
- Blueprint reading and measuring/layout of construction projects
- Use of large and small construction equipment applicable to the landscape construction industry
- Responsible for day-to-day activities of crew members
- Provide training to crew members
- Provides leadership to teams
- Hardscape and softscape experience required
- Interact with clients on site when needed, provide exceptional customer service in a polite and courteous manner
- Oversees the quality of workmanship on site
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A valid G Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in landscape construction
- Experience in comparable leadership role
- Desire to work in the horticultural/landscape construction industry
- Knowledge of plant material and equipment is required
- Experience driving truck and trailer
