Data Modeler
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in ACORD Information and Data Models within the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will design enterprise data models, support system integration, and ensure data consistency and governance across modern and legacy platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with ACORD Information and Data Models
Develop enterprise canonical data models for insurance domains including Policy, Claims, Party, and Billing
Ensure data consistency, normalization, scalability, and interoperability across systems
Map business requirements to ACORD-compliant data structures
Apply and interpret ACORD Reference Architecture components including Information Model, Data Model, and Business Glossary
Perform end-to-end data mapping from source systems to ACORD canonical models and target systems
Support API, messaging, and data exchange design aligned with ACORD standards
Design data warehouse and data lake models using ACORD-aligned structures
Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable data models
Establish and maintain data standards, naming conventions, and metadata definitions
Contribute to data governance, data quality, lineage, and compliance initiatives
Maintain data dictionaries, mapping documentation, and traceability artifacts
Support modernization initiatives by aligning legacy models with ACORD frameworks
Perform model validation, impact analysis, and compliance assessments
Required Skills:
Strong expertise in data modeling and enterprise data architecture
Hands-on experience with ACORD Information and Data Models
Experience in insurance domain data modeling (Policy, Claims, Billing, Party)
Knowledge of canonical data modeling and integration architecture
Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, and lineage frameworks
Experience with data warehouse and data lake modeling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with API and messaging integration frameworks
Familiarity with regulatory and enterprise compliance standards
Experience working on modernization and transformation initiatives
Knowledge of insurance platforms and enterprise integration tools
Salary Range - CA$ 90,000 - CA$ 110,000 Per Year
