Job Description and Responsibilities:
The Technical Training Supervisor is accountable for the delivery and continuous improvement of training systems and processes at the Regina operation. The Technical Training Supervisor provides leadership to a team of trainers while also actively delivering training programs. As a working supervisor, the role balances team leadership, program execution, and site integration to drive training quality and workforce capability.

Lead and develop a team of trainers, ensuring alignment with site priorities and corporate training standards
Act as an integral member of the Regina site leadership team, influencing training performance and outcomes
Partner with Plant Operations Managers to determine training priorities, workforce readiness, and resourcing needs
Oversee and deliver training programs, including technical, operational, and safety training for frontline employees
Act as a working member of the team, personally delivering training as required
Lead new employee orientation in coordination with site leadership
Own and maintain training systems, processes, and database accuracy
Champion implementation and optimization of LMS systems and training processes
Develop and maintain standardized tools to track training performance and effectiveness
Identify improvement opportunities and drive execution of training enhancements
Coordinate training schedules with plant and scheduling teams to ensure operational alignment
Ensure workforce training compliance and readiness through proactive planning
Requirements
Post secondary training in a related field or a combination of education and experience.
1-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment, considered an asset
Experience in training systems implementation and continuous improvement
Knowledge of safety programs (e.g., confined space, fall protection, mobile equipment)
Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills
Strong communication and interpersonal effectiveness
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and learning management systems (Workday LMS preferred)
Ability to balance strategic improvement with hands-on execution
Familiarity with training development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, AI-enabled tools)
