Position Description
The Manager, Game Day and Special Events is responsible for managing all game day activities and staff.
The Game Day and Special Events position will also lead the planning for the organization’s major events, including, but not limited to, the Kids Hockey Camp, Warriors & Legends Hall of Fame induction banquet, and Warriors Alumni Golf Tournament.
In addition, the position assists in the creation of marketing strategies for team initiatives.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage all game day activities, including intermission games, league promotions (jerky toss, trivia, etc.), and sponsored promotions
- Work alongside the contracted production crew to ensure a mutual understanding of game elements
- Oversee game night staff, including ambassadors, ice crew, production, and media staff
- Interview and hire game night staff as required
- Manage planning of Warriors' special events
- Assist in the creation and marketing of team initiatives, including theme nights and community events
- Assist with other duties as necessary
Qualifications
- Must be available to work all Moose Jaw Warriors’ home games, special events, and community events, which include weekends and evenings.
- Game night experience is an asset, but not necessary
- Enthusiastic team player who enjoys interacting with fans of all ages
- Able to lead in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing and developing situations
- Hockey knowledge is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license
