Job Summary
PFG Glass Industries is seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join our logistics team as full-time Shippers and Receivers. This position is responsible for safely preparing, packing, and loading our finished architectural glass products for transport. Duties and Responsibilities
- Pack, crate, and securely brace finished glass products for safe shipment.
- Apply proper blocking, banding, strapping, and protective materials to prevent product damage during transport.
- Load outbound shipments safely onto flatbeds and enclosed commercial trailers.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and vacuum-suction lifting equipment efficiently.
- Perform final quality inspections to ensure all products meet customer specifications.
- Verify piece counts, product dimensions, labels, and shop orders prior to shipment departure.
- Prepare and review required shipping documentation and packing slips.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse work environment.
- Follow all corporate safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or logistics environment is preferred.
- A strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a dependable means of transportation to attend scheduled shifts.
- The ability to accurately read a standard tape measure.
- Basic computer literacy to navigate our inventory software using handheld scanners.
- The physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and stand throughout an eight-hour shift.
- Strong attention to detail and a strict commitment to quality and workplace safety.
Compensation, Hours, and Benefits
The starting wage for this position is 23.00 dollars per hour. We currently have openings across morning, afternoon, and night shifts. Regular schedules include a morning shift from Monday to Friday, an afternoon shift from Monday to Friday, and a night shift from Sunday to Thursday. We provide an additional shift premium of 1.50 dollars per hour for the afternoon shift and 3.50 dollars per hour for the night shift.
