Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Casual Early Childhood Educator to support the development and well-being of young children in a dynamic educational environment. Duties
- Facilitate engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members regarding children's progress and needs.
- Assist in planning and implementing educational curricula aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Use computer skills to document observations, update records, and communicate with families as needed.
- Collaborate with other educators to create an inclusive and nurturing classroom atmosphere.
- Support children's individual learning goals through personalized attention and tailored activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Ability to operate basic computer applications for documentation and communication purposes.
- Classroom experience demonstrating leadership, patience, and adaptability.
